Besides worship, our church community enjoys getting together for times of studying God’s Word, sharing each other’s joys and sorrows, and enjoying fellowship and good times together. We have listed our regular events below with brief description to help you understand what to expect. For more specific times of when each activity is held, refer to our events calendar.
Our Bible Study meets every other Tuesday to study a portion of Scripture. The relaxed, small group setting allows us to share our thoughts and learn together from the truths we find in God’s Word. Typically, we work through Bible books, reading them together as a group and discussing what the verses mean for our lives. Currently, we are studying the book of Romans.
Every other week, we gather together for a time of prayer and praising God. Along with singing together and praying for each others’ needs and thanksgivings, Pastor Overbeek gives a meditation on a Psalm and a reading from a book about prayer.
We use these classes to teach our children about God and the doctrines of the Bible. Currently our pastor teaches elementary students in the Junior Catechism Class and teens in the Senior Catechism Class. They occur on each Sunday after the worship services.
